1. APPROVAL OF THE JUNE 15, 2022, REGULAR MEETING MINUTES

2. APPROVAL OF THE JULY 6, 2022, SPECIAL MEETING MINUTES

3. COMMUNICATION AND CORRESPONDENCE Information received on behalf of the Commission during the month of July.

4. FINDINGS REQUIRED BY AB 361 FOR THE CONTINUED USE OF TELECONFERENCING FOR MEETINGS In order for the Commission to continue to have the option to meet via teleconference during the pandemic, AB 361 required the Commission to make specified findings at least every thirty (30) days.

a. A state of emergency has been proclaimed by California’s Governor due to the COVID-19 pandemic and continues in effect; and

b. The Commission has reconsidered the circumstances of the state of emergency; and

c. State and local officials continue to recommend measures to promote social distancing to slow the spread of COVID-19.

REGULAR BUSINESS

5. SPECIAL EVENT REVIEW – FOURTH OF JULY CELEBRATION The Community Services Commission’s Strategic Priorities include recommending improvements to community special events. The Parks and Recreation Department’s most recent event was the Fourth of July Celebration.

6. COMMUNITY SERVICES COMMISSION LIAISON ASSIGNMENTS One of the responsibilities of the Community Services Commission Commissioners is to coordinate with five Tustin community groups via liaison positions. The Commissioners will select primary and alternate liaison assignments for the 2022-23 fiscal year.

7. NAMING STRATEGY FOR THE DOG PARK AT TUSTIN LEGACY PARK Staff will present the Community Services Commission with the strategy developed to establish a name for the dog park at Tustin Legacy Park.

8. COMMUNITY SERVICES COMMISSION STRATEGIC PLAN – INCREASE COMMISSION PRESENCE – TUSTIN TILLER DAYS The Community Services Commission’s Strategic Priorities includes the goal of increasing the presence of the Commission in the community. One of the objectives in meeting this goal is participation in community events. The Commissioners are asked to review the schedule of events for the 2022 Tustin Tiller Days Festival and approve details of participation.
