AWARD OF CONTRACT FOR THE JOHN LYTTLE RESERVOIR IMPROVEMENTS - CAPITAL IMPROVEMENT PROJECT NO. 60148 John Lyttle Reservoir is the sole water storage tank in Zone 3 of the City's water system, providing 150,000 gallons of emergency water storage. A site assessment and corrosion evaluation were performed in November 2023. Details of this evaluation found moderate to severe corrosion on the interior and exterior surfaces and recommended several safety, health, and code improvements. Staff developed a project to recoat the interior and exterior tank and preform related work to address recommended improvements to extend the useful life of the existing reservoir.
