3. OLD TOWN TUSTIN HISTORIC VIRTUAL WALKING TOUR The Community Development Department has created a new interactive resource for the community, the Old Town Tustin Historic Virtual Walking Tour. This self-guided walking tour features 14 historic sites throughout the Old Town area, that takes participants on a journey through Tustin’s history. As tour participants reach each stop, historic photos and facts about the site are accessible on any mobile device. The walking tour was created to promote interest in historic preservation in Tustin, and to generate new excitement around the City’s rich history. 4. COMMUNITY SERVICES COMMISSION PARTICIPATION AT THE 2023 CASINO NIGHT The Community Services Commission’s Strategic Priorities include increasing the presence of the Commission in the community. In furtherance of this priority, the Commission is invited to participate in the annual Casino Night fundraiser for the Tustin Area Senior Fund, Inc.
5. CPRS CONFERENCE 2024 - SCHEDULE Commissioners and staff will attend the annual California Parks and Recreation Society (CPRS) Conference from February 28th to March 1st in Palm Springs, California.
6. SPRING EVENT PARTICIPATION The Community Services Commission’s Strategic Priorities include increasing the presence of the Commission in the community. In furtherance of this priority, staff recommends the Community Services Commission discuss and consider options for participation in the annual Easter Celebration and Egg Hunt, Community Yard Sale, and Youth Track Meet events.
7. COMMISSIONER PARK VISIT REPORTS Commissioners will provide a report to the Commission on their park visits as follows: Wesson Camino Real, Centennial, Tustin Sports Kozak Cedar Grove, Heritage, Pioneer Road Nakamoto Columbus Tustin, Peppertree, Pine Tree Marsh Peery Frontier, Veterans Sports, Victory Henderson Citrus Ranch, Laurel Glen, Magnolia Tree, McFadden Pasadena
8. COMMISSIONER LIAISON REPORTS Commissioners will provide a report to the Commission on their liaison assignments as follows: Wesson Tustin Community Foundation Kozak Special Events Nakamoto Senior Advisory Board Marsh Peery Community Outreach Henderson Economic Development
