REGULAR BUSINESS

3. CENTENNIAL PARK PLAYGROUND RENOVATION CONCEPTS The next project on the Community Services Commission’s Seven-Year CIP Priority List is Centennial Park Improvements. The Commission will recommend the preferred design for the playground renovation component of this project which is comprised of equipment and safety surfacing for multiple “tot” playground areas (ages 2-5). Three playground manufacturers have provided conceptual designs for Commission’s review and comment.

4. SPRING EVENT PARTICIPATION The Community Services Commission’s Strategic Priorities include increasing the presence of the Commission in the community. In furtherance of this priority, staff recommends that the Community Services Commission discuss and consider options for participation in the annual Youth Track Meet, Easter Celebration and Egg Hunt, and Community Yard Sale events.

5. SPECIAL EVENT REVIEW – CASINO NIGHT The Community Services Commission’s Strategic Priorities include recommending improvements to community special events. The Parks and Recreation Department’s most recent event was Casino Night.

6. CPRS CONFERENCE 2023 – SCHEDULE Commissioners and staff will attend the annual California Parks and Recreation Society (CPRS) Conference, April 4th – 6th in San Diego, California.

7. COMMISSIONER PARK VISIT REPORTS Commissioners will provide a report to the Commission on their park visits as follows: Wesson Camino Real, Centennial, Tustin Sports Nakamoto Columbus Tustin, Peppertree, Pine Tree Marsh Peery Frontier, Veterans Sports, Victory Henderson Citrus Ranch, Laurel Glen, Magnolia Tree, McFadden Pasadena Kozak Cedar Grove, Heritage, Pioneer Road

8. COMMISSIONER LIAISON REPORTS Commissioners will provide a report to the Commission on their liaison assignments as follows: Wesson Tustin Community Foundation Nakamoto Senior Advisory Board Marsh Peery Community Outreach Henderson Economic Development Kozak Special Events
